C
I've seen Jesus play with flames
F F F F
In a lake of fire that I was standing in
G
Met the devil in Seattle
C C C C
And spent 9 months inside the lions den
C
Met Buddha yet another time
F F F F
And he showed me a glowing light within
G
But I swear that God is there
C C C C
Every time I glare into the eyes of my best friend
F
Says my son It's all been done
C C C C
And someday you're gonna wake up old and gray
F
So go and try to have some fun

Showing warmth to everyone
G G G G
You meet and greet and cheat along the way
C
There's a gateway in our minds
F F F F
That leads somewhere out there far beyond this plane
G
Where reptile aliens made of light
C C C C
Cut you open and pull out all your pain
C
Tell me how you make illegal
F F F F
Something that we all make in our brain
G
Some say you might go crazy
C C C C
But then again it might make you go sane
F
Every time I take a look
F
Inside that old and fabled book
F
I'm blinded and reminded of
F C C C C
The pain caused by some old man in the sky
F
Marijuana LSD
F
Psilocybin and DMT
F
They all changed the way I see
F G G G G
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life
C
So don't waste your mind on nursery rhymes

Or fairy tales of blood and wine
F Dm G7
It's turtles all the way down the line
F
So to each their own 'til we go home
F
To other realms our souls must roam
F G C
To and through the myth that we all call space and time
