Somewhere In The Between

by Streetlight Manifesto
Streetlight Manifesto

Biography:

Streetlight Manifesto is a third wave ska punk band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, under the creative leadership of singer/guitarist Tomas Kalnoky. Since forming in 2002, the band has released four full-length albums.

Several of Streetlight's members were already well known among the New Jersey ska community for their roles in past ska bands from that area, most notably Catch 22's Tomas Kalnoky, James Egan, Mike Soprano, and Josh Ansley, as well as One Cool Guy's Stuart Karmatz, Pete Sibilia, Dan Ross, and Chris Paszik.

Intro: C G Am Dm C G

C G Am
You were gone when we found you
Dm C G
You were practically surrounded you were trapped
C G Am F
But the opposition stalled their blood ran cold
C G C
When they saw the look of love in your eyes

C G
Maybe the times we had they weren't that bad
Am
And everything else was part of the plan
Dm C G
We sang I don't know where we go from here
C G Am F
This is the alpha omega beginning and the end
C G C
And we all just idolize the dead

C G Am
So you were born So you were born and that was a good day
Dm C G
Someday you'll die Someday you'll die and that is a shame
C G Am F
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
C G C
And nothing and no one will ever take that away

C G Am
You had a love and that love had you
Dm C G
And nothing mattered you were fine
C G Am F
And some will complain they're just bitter what a shame
C G C
They know that loving and losing is better than nothing at all

C G
Maybe the times we had they weren't that bad
Am
And everything else was part of our path

C G
Yeah the times we had they were not that bad
Am
And everything else that was part of the plan
Dm C G
And we sang I don't know where we go from here
C G Am F
This is the Alpha Alpha Omega Omega beginning and the end
C G C
And we all just idolize the dead

C G Am
So you were born So you were born and that was a good day
Dm C G
Someday you'll die Someday you'll die and that is a shame
C G Am F
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
C G C
And nothing and no one will ever take that away

And someday soon my friends this ride will come to an end

But we can't just get in line again
