Seven Days – Will Varley

[Intro]
E A E A

[Verse 1]
E
At the end of the road where I learnt to fly
E
My nose keeps bleeding I don’t know why
A
The world changed, never did me no harm
E
Daytime antiques on demand
B A E
Seven days, a thousand nights away

[Verse 2]
E
And a voice said, “no, you won’t go far”
E
Changing the world from the back of your car
A
You can build Rome in half a day
E
If you weren’t asleep in your marmalade
B A E
Seven days, a thousand nights away

[Chorus 1]
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Maybe I disappear
A
Maybe tonight,
B A
Maybe next year
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Maybe it’s the right way
A B E
To be seven days, a thousand nights away

E

[Verse 3]
E
And the devil stopped answering your calls
E
Cuz he had no interest in your soul, there was
A
Long days, tears were cried on a
E
Back streets under moonlit skies
B
On the ocean just before sundown,
A E
We were young then, but are we still young now?

[Chorus 2]
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Maybe I disappear
A
Maybe tonight,
B A
Maybe next year
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Maybe it’s the right way
A B E
To be seven days, a thousand nights away

E

[Bridge]
G#m
And I’m thinking of you as the lights go down,
G#m
On an unknown stage in an unknown town
A
Find a bar with the lights still on,
E
Go drinking all night long
B B B
We. Are. Here
A A A E
This is happening now

[Instrumental Bridge]
E A G#m A B
Na na na na na na na …….

E A B A B B
Na na na na na na na ………… Na na na

[Chorus 3]
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Maybe I disappear
A
In the morning light
B A
We never belonged here
E
I shut my eyes,
C#m
Tell him that I didn’t go to waste
A B C#m
He’s just seven days, a thousand nights away
A B E
He’s just seven days, a thousand nights away
