Tom Francis

Side By Side

by Tom Francis
Tom Francis

Biography:

It's the space in between the notes that strikes you when listening to Tom Francis, the notes that breath and harmonies that suggest more voices than are present, the dancing guitar notes below the story that pulls you in and out of light and darkness. This is music to fall into and get lost in.
From barefoot festivals to candle lit bars Tom has been silencing audiences since he's taken his music to the stage, music best described as a unique blend of soul and folk

You can play this tab with normal chords but if you want it to sound more like the original play like this:

C#m: E + pinky on the 4th fret of the A string.

B: E + pinky on the 4th fret of the D string.

A: As usual but keep your index finger on the G string to switch chords easier.

E: As usual.

To create the "twists" that are played on the E chords in the song play like this:

To play the first one that is played first in the intro and then played a lot through the rest of the song
just add and remove your pinky from the 2nd fret of the G string while keeping your other fingers in place.

To play the second twist that you can hear after the instrumental keep your fingers in an E shape and first
put your pinky on the 2nd fret of the B string and then slide it to the 4th fret of the same string then move
your pinky up to the 4th fret of the G string.
