The Showdown es una banda de metalcore con influencias del southern metal originarios de Elizabethton, Tennessee. Sus letras nos hablan de heroísmo, de los altos y bajos y las constantes luchas por las que tenemos que pasar en la vida, todas estas en su mayoría influenciadas desde un punto de vista bíblico religioso. Desde el 2008 pertenecen al sello Solid State Records (Demon Hunter, Underoath, August Burns Red, etc)
