Idle Tomorrows

The Sadies, Darker Circles

capo 3

intro: E E | G A | E E | E E | G A | E

E G
Now that we’ve gone our own way,
A C G
Everything’s clear as day and night
C G
Nothing seems right
E G
I’m finding things that I’ve never known
A C G
Now that I’m all alone and free,
C G
There’s nothing I need

E
Wasting hours, days counting sorrows
G A E
Like idle tomorrows holding what could’ve been
E
Call your name, wrestle with demons
G A E
Like changing of seasons, we bend to the wind

E G A C
With deep, abiding reverence, I ask (only) deliverance
G C G
From the cold hold of indifference you have shown to me
E G A C
So use your intuition and you will see my disposition
G C G
It’s not a competition anymore

E
Wasting hours, days counting sorrows
G A E
Like idle tomorrows holding what could’ve been
E
Call your name, wrestle with demons
G A E
Like changing of seasons, we bend to the wind

break: E E | G A | E E | E E | G A | E

E G A C
Slowly watch the sulphur burn while waiting for the Saturn turn
G C G
I recall what falls from lessons learned in the dead of night
E G A
Rise again from ashes born when, all at once,
C G C G
The early morning comes, it brings the light

E
Wasting hours, days counting sorrows
G A E
Like idle tomorrows holding what could’ve been
E
Call your name, wrestle with demons
G A E
Like changing of seasons, we bend to the wind
