The Receiving End Of Sirens

note: everything in the round brackets is what sounds better with the acoustic
version.. the rest sounds better (to me, at least) with the full band.
Standard tuning!!

G.... C....

Em(Am)
Your gross fabrication of pretense could bore,
Bm(G)
Yet still I fall victim to syntax omitted, Just shy of something I could understand
Em(Am)
So blissful, I press on to the sound of the organs
C(G)
Playing their most convincing tunes As they serenade to the parade of paid-off parts

Am
And now the only thing left to discuss is
Em
The details of this armistice
G Em
We've come to this agreement...

Am
Check my vitals; the truth is vile, but vital to this cause
C
I've been held hostage; A captive of this passive shell
G/B
Give me gravity, give me clarity,
C
Give me something to rely on

Am
We're all puppets {Tell me who's pulling the strings}
We're all marionettes
C/G
We're all puppets {Tell me who's that you move for}
We're all marionettes

Em(Am)
These body parts are parts of plans, Passed by my hands
Bm(G)
My hands shake through handshakes, Forsaken by my limbs
Em(Am)
My limbs sing the hymns; The hymns of a tyrant in a crumbling pantheon
C(G)
As inhabitants will raise their fists and bid him to disarm

Am
Check my vitals; the truth is vile, but vital to this cause
C
I've been held hostage; A captive of this passive shell
G
Give me gravity, give me clarity,
C
Give me something to rely on

Em (Am)
We're all puppets {Tell me who's pulling the strings}
We're all marionettes
C/G
We're all puppets {Tell me who's that you move for}
We're all marionettes
[x2]

G.... C....

Am C
And now the only thing left to discuss is The details of this armistice
G C
We've come to this agreement...

G
Oh, how I've been teething {Tell me who's pulling the strings}
Em
In light of your misleading You've caused this collapse {Tell me who's that you move for}
D
Between the heart and the synapse
[x4]

G...Am.
Em...G.
D.Am.Bm..

(C Am D)
(So blissful, I press on)

[Previous stanza continues in the background]
We're all puppets
We're all marionettes
We're all puppets
We're all marionettes
[x2]

[Whispered]
...The strings and joints will join us together...
The strings and joints will join us
The strings and joints will join us together...
