Biography:
The Press and the President are a Dutch Electro Pop Punk band formed in the beginning of 2013. Guitar player Alwin van der Knijff and Singer/Synth player Stefan Bonestroo started the band as a joke, but sooner the band became more serious in making music. In the summer of 2013 drummer Nathan Reinds joined the band. They recorded their debut EP in Alwin's homestudio and on the 31st of October 'Stay Out of the Papers' was released. The band is influenced by bands like 3OH!3 and Owl City, but also by modern Pop punk and Emo.
