Biography:
Started by the frontmen of two different bands from Chicago, Illinois; The Memphis Rose is a band consisting of Dance Cooper of The Downtown Struts and Ben Hjelmstad of The Geriatrics. Setting out to play real Traditional Country from the 1940's-1950's but with hints of Rock 'n' Roll, Punk, and Soul thrown in. Their debut album, "Ma... Don't Wait Up For Me" was mostly written and entirely recorded in June-July '08 about moving out West and bringing love with them, or in the others case.
