The Hooters are an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. G Em
If you miss the train I'm on,
Am C
you will know that I am gone
Am C
You can hear the whistle blow
D
a hundred miles,
G Em
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
Am C
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
Am D
You can hear the whistle blow
G
a hundred miles

G Em
Not a shirt on my back,
Am C
not a penny to my name
Am C
And the land that I once loved
D
was not my own
G Em
Lord I'm one, Lord I'm two,
Am C
Lord I'm three, Lord I'm four,
Am C
Lord I'm five hundred miles
D
away from home

G Em
A hundred tanks along the square,
Am C
One man stands and stops them there
Am C
Some day soon, the tide will turn,
D
and I'll be free
G Em
I'll be free, I'll be free,
Am C
I'll come home to my country,
Am C
Some day soon the tide will turn
D
and I'll be free

G Em
If you miss the train I'm on,
Am C
you will know that I am gone
Am C
You can hear the whistle blow
D
a hundred miles,
G Em
Lord I'm one, Lord I'm two,
Am C
Lord I'm three, Lord I'm four,
Am C
Lord I'm five hundred miles
D
away from home
