Biography:

A principios de los ochenta surgió en California un movimiento llamado Paisley Underground. Lo componían varias bandas que rechazaban los sintetizadores por un sonido rockero más tradicional, admiraban los conceptos irritables y rotundos del punk y además sentían una gran nostalgia por la psychedelia.

Dream Syndicate fue la formación que más destacó dentro de esta ideología. Trasladaban el sonido neoyorquino de la Velvet a California para fusionarlo con el rock más cotidiano.
