Capo 2
G ,C9, Em, D
I woke up Saturday morn at the crack of noon, took a ride down to that shady tree, it's
I spent my youth. Saw these kids dancing to the changing leaves, they were joyous like
back then, that's how we used to be. They ran and laughed and played, and noticed me
in the shade, Hey there Mr., we know you..

C9, D
Can you teach us how to fly, X4

G, C9, Em, D
Don't know much about this flying business anyway, isn't flying in movies, or in
books, well I'm, not a movie, and I'm not a book, I'm just a man..
Em, C9, G, D
And they hollered back and said No your not just a man you're the one who comes to take
away from our ordinary lives, ah to take us higher..

Can you teach us how to fly X4
G, G, C9, C9, Em, Em, D, D
So take us up, up into the crimson sky, take us up, and teach us how to fly, take us up,
to where we may be, where the clouds are dancing, they always will be..

G, C9, Em, D
I woke up Monday morning half past noon, took a ride down to that shady tree it's where
spent my youth, saw these kids dancing to the changing leaves, they were joyous like me..

C9, D X4
Can you teach us how to fly.
