[Verse 1]
G Em
In the bleak mid-winter
Am7 Dsus4 D
Frosty wind made moan
G Em
Earth stood hard as iron
Am7 D G
Water like a stone;
C Em G/B
Snow had fallen, snow on snow
Em C Dsus4 D
Snow on snow
G Em
In the bleak mid-winter
Am D G
Long ago

[Verse 2]
G Em
Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him
Am7 Dsus4 D
Nor earth sustain;
G Em
Heaven and earth shall flee away
Am D G
When He comes to reign:
C Em G/B
In the bleak mid-winter
Em C Dsus4 D
A stable-place sufficed
G Em
The Lord God Almighty
Am D G
Jesus Christ

[Interlude]
G

[Verse 3]
A F#m
Angels and archangels
Bm7 Esus4 E
May have gathered there

Cherubim and seraphim

Thronged the air
D F#m A/C#
But His mother only
F#m D Esus4 E
In her maiden bliss
A F#m
Worshipped the Beloved
Bm E A
With a kiss

[Verse 4]
A F#m
Oh what can I give Him
Bm7 Esus4 E
Poor as I am?
A F#m
If I were a shepherd
Bm7 E A
I would bring a lamb
D F#m A/C#
If I were a wise man
F#m D Esus4 E
I would do my part
A F#m
Yet what can I give Him
Bm E A
Give my heart

[Outro]
