by Peter Sarstedt
Peter Sarstedt

Biography:

Peter Eardley Sarstedt (born 10 December 1941 in Delhi, India; died 8 January 2017 in London), briefly billed early in his career as Peter Lincoln, was an English singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and activist. He recorded a number of successful albums and singles, beginning in the 1960s. He was best known for writing and performing the single "Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)?"

Yes, there are!

But you never ...get your lips wet,

Your name, it is heard in high places,
Dm7 G G7/B

I-- re - member the back streets of Naples,

They tried!

And re - member just who you are,

Deep in - side, yes, you do!

I know the thoughts that sur - round you,
