[Verse 1]
G C Csus C
It's been said that to live is to sorrow
G C Csus C
It's been said that there's no room for tomorrow
G C Csus C
So men stand there and stair at the twilight
G C Csus C
And they work out each day as it seems right
C G C G
Oh I knew it would be so I say "Hallelujah", sometimes
C G D Asus4
And I think no, all this time have been this road

[Chorus]
G D C
And what about all the September moons
G D C
And what about all the flowers in June
G D C D Asus4
And what about all the times that I sit here and wonder
G D C
And I could be wrong for believing this way
G D C
And I could be wrong every hour of each day
G D C D Asus4
Still I think about every moment that I can remember

[Verse 2]
G C Csus C
And they say that to silence is worth gold
G C Csus C
And they say every young man must grow old
G C Csus C
So we work and we reason our times
G C Csus C
Still it's quiet all around here at night
C G C G
Oh I knew this would be and I say there is so much to see
C G D Asus4
And I think now, all this time has been passing by

[Chorus]
G D C
And what about all the mountains in spring
G D C
And what about all the choirs that sing
G D C D Asus4
And what about every mother that holds a new child
G D C
And I think about all the times as a child
G D C
When I couldn't keep from laughing out loud
G D C D Asus4
And to catch myself I would go out and stay there a while

[Pre-Chorus]
C G
And all this could've passed me by
C D Asus4
Standing lonely all this while

[Interlude]

[Chorus]
G D C
And what about all the September moons

And what about all the flowers in June

all the times that I sit here and wonder
