Biography:
Nicky Wire (born Nicholas Allen Jones, Blackwood, January 20 1969) is the lyricist, bassist and occasional vocalist to the Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers.
On Christmas Day 2005, the Manics' official site posted a solo track by Nicky called I Killed the Zeitgeist, however the song was only available to download for one day.
Wire has since released an iTunes-only download single named The Shining Path in mid-July 2006, and his first album was released on 25 September 2006, entitled I Killed The Zeitgeist.
