Mount Kimbie

Blue Train Lines

by Mount Kimbie
Mount Kimbie

Biography:

Mount Kimbie are Dominic Maker and Kai Campos who met at university in 2008 and began making music together in a home studio in Peckham, England.

The duo have developed a truly unique sound whose experimental rhythms lend themselves to the fringes of dubstep, wonky and hip hop, but ooze with emotion and echoing ambient soundscapes that take the listener to an entirely different place.

Their EPs, released on Hotflush Recordings, have already been well received

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

IMO, Mount Kimbie doesn't have Archy's guitar skills, and so write songs clearly easier to tab.
So I didn't search for M7 transitions or changing chords progressions and focused on the bass. The line is
C for 8 pulsations, F for 4 and Am for 4, all along the song.

[Intro]
C

[Verse 1]
C
Here's another thing
C F Am
That threw up in my mind like the razor blade and her wrist locked
C
In a closet of Deep Space Nine
F
Deposit for a wasted life
Am C
I lost it with a sweepstakes sigh in another fucking fight
F
A junkie in a queue for the lavatory line
Am
That's another lost sight

[Verse 2]
C
A stabbing of his eyes
F Am
Her veins are now popping like Blue Train lines
C F Am
Still pumping on the bathroom floor, and not for the frost or what the mirror thought it saw
C
He got a clearer thought and pulled her straight out
F Am
"You got me jumping from a real safe height
C
I wanna fall forever if you ain't by my side
F Am C C F Am
I wanna fall forever if you ain't in my life."

C

[Chorus]
C F Am C
I just been eating away when I found her
F
All drowned in grey
Am C
I might have drowned her
F
I caught her plate number
Am C C F Am
And yeah, I might have seen it all

[Verse 3]
C F
In Hell, excel like never ending
Am
Life before us, light leaving us down
C F
Smoke settled in a fabric of the BFE 34
Am C
Dropping burning crumbs on the seedy floor

In the back of a CD store
F Am
For the radio rat and a seedy door
C
Then she threw her money, yeah
F
And she still needs more
Am C C F Am
Then die of blood!

[Pre-Chorus]
C
Six pounds in my pocket
F Am
I threw another man's change
C F Am C F
Lose another man's six
Am C C F Am
I guess he might have seen it all

[Chorus]
C F Am C
I just been eating away when I found her
F
All drowned in grey
Am C
I might have drowned her
F
I caught her plate number
Am C C F Am
And yeah, I might have seen it all

[Pre-Chorus]
C
Six pounds in my pocket
F Am
I threw another man's change
C F Am C F
Lose another man's six
Am C C F Am
I guess he might have seen it all

[Chorus]
C F Am C
I just been eating away when I found her
F
All drowned in grey
Am C
I might have drowned her
F
I caught her plate number
Am C C F Am
And yeah, I might have seen it all

Repeat the C C F Am patern and end on C or in fade.
