Lost Dog Street Band

Lazy Moonshiner

by Lost Dog Street Band
Lost Dog Street Band

Biography:

Lost Dog Street Band is American duo Benjamin Tod (from Tennessee) and Ashley Mae (from South Dakota).

The band began when a songwriter from tennessee and a fiddle player from south dakota began playing music on the streets to fund their like for hopping freight trains. Their earlier band ( Barefoot Surrender ) split ways in (January 2011) in Oregon and they tramped a hard winter back to Dixie. They met back with their old friend Christin to start on a new album and a new life.

G
Lazy moonshiner
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
shine your wet light on my dry lips
G
youre a coal miner
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
and this coal will make you stumble and trip
C7 Em/B Em
and mama cant take that bottle from you
C7
they say sunshine is happy,
Em/B Em
lord moonshine is too

G
Lazy moonshiner,
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
thin this blood enough, to run through tight veins
G
firewater,
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
hit my head hard enough to flatten my brain
C7 Em/B Em
and mama cant take that bottle from you,
C7
they say sunshine is happy
Em/B Em
lord moonshine is too

G
when morning comes
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
Grind my coffee when the shotguns blast
G
its morning time
Em/B Em Em7 (Em)
so cream my coffee with your lazy moonshine,
C7 Em/B Em
cream my coffee with your lazy moonshine
C7 Em/B Em
cause your days intentions are as pointless as mine
