[Verse 1]
G C G
Oh, I got me a woman she's a pretty good woman at that
C G
We live with a monkey and a Chinese acrobat
C G
She calls me 'Tex', makes me wear a cowboy hat
D G
But I don't care she's a pretty good woman at that

[Verse 2]
G C G
Nothing in the world make me treat that woman mean
C G
She shaves my beard and she keeps my tractor clean
C G
She burns my bread, makes me turnip greens
D G
But I don't care she's a best little woman I've seen

[Chorus]
C G
Some folks they move out to California
C G
And some folks they stay in Tennessee
G C
And I don't care where I'm a headed
G D G
Just as long as that woman stand by me

[Solo]
[Chorus]
C G
Some folks they move out to California
C G
And some folks they stay in Tennessee
G C
And I don't care where I'm a headed
G D G
Just as long as that woman stand by me

[Verse 3]
G C
Nothing I'd rather do than spend my nights at home
C G
Talking with my baby and blowing on the slide trombone
C G
She talks in turn oh, she really turns me on
D G
With a woman like that a man never wants to roam

[Chorus]
C G
Some folks they move out to California
C G
And some folks they stay in Tennessee
G C
And I don't care where I'm a headed
G D G
Just as long as that woman stand by me
G D G
Just as long as that woman stand by me
G D G
Just as long as that woman stand by me
