Larry and His Flask

Battle For Clear Sight

by Larry and His Flask
Larry and His Flask

Biography:

"Larry & His Flask are like no band I’ve ever seen (which seems to be the general consensus). As soon as Jamin says “Hello everybody we’re Larry & His Flask!” and the first song begins people are glued to the stage. Everyone is watching with smiles and wide eyes. People are looking at their friends shaking their heads with looks on their faces that say: “What the hell is this?!“ When all 6 members are on stage they are truly a sight to behold.

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

My first tab. I hope it's ok. I know that there is a four chord progression that can be put in that
bridge sung by Jenny Owen Youngs but i think you can just play a D instead? Would loved to have someone
tab out that part for me.

[Verse]
D G
Can you see the lonesome tree under the starlight?
D F#m
The clouds have gone and the sky has won the battle for clear sight
D G
The birds have left and there's not a sound up on the hillside
D F#m
The cold has come and it's sweeping its way on 'til the low tide
G
On this December night
A Em7 Bm7-Bm
There's a deafening call from a woman on the shore
G D E
She wants more, and she's asking me, "What is it all for?"
Em A Bm C
And I never want to tell her of the cold, of getting old
G C Am D
Of falling down to meet the ground, now only a memory of this town
D (missing chord progession) G
Will you believe that this all is a dream, a feverish nightmare?
D (missing chord progression) F#m
And that all that you've seen has left you unscarred and no worse for the wear
G
On this unfortunate night
A Em Bm
There's a heartbroken cry from a mother on the shore
G D G
She wants more, and she's asking me, "What is it all for?"
G E7
She's pleading with me, "Open up the door!"
Em7 A Bm C
And I never want to tell her of the cold, of getting old
G C C Am
Of falling down to meet the ground, now only a memory of this

[Bridge]
F C G Dm Dm7 G A

[Outro]
G D G
We want more, and we're asking you, "What is it all for?"
D E
It's nothing like we've ever seen before
Em A Bm C
But fortune doesn't always favor the bold, we're still getting old
G C C Am
Always falling down to meet the ground, still only a memory of this town
