Part 9
We stole the burning sun in the open sky,
We stole the twinkling stars in the black night,
We stole the green belt they made us believe,
We stole everything that we could see,
But something came along and changed our minds,
Now I don't know what and know why,
But we seemed to grow up in a flash of time,
As we watched our ideals heplessly unwind.
A(1) E
We're no longer as thick as thieves, no,
A(1) E
We're not as thick as we used to be, no,
A(1) E
We're no longer as thick as thieves, no,
A(1) E
We're not as thick as we used to be,
F#m
No it wasn't enough,
G#m A(2)
And now we've gone and spoilt everything,
B(2)
Now we're no longer,
As thick as thieves.
