Steve Burns

Troposphere

by Steve Burns
Steve Burns

Biography:

Steve Burns first gained mainstream recognition when he became "Steve" in the children's show Blues Clues. When he unexpectedly left the show, rumors spread quickly and globally. A lot included being admitted to drug rehab centers and even dying. None of them are true. Burns left on his own as he felt he had finished with Blues Clues and wanted to pursue other interests, most notably beginning a career as an indie rock singer/songwriter.

I've noticed a lack of Steve Burns tabs for quite some time
and I've drawn the conclusion that nobody realises that our favourite
Blue's Clues host released an album in 2003, shortly after he left the show.

So, I decided to add a few tabs of his songs to the internet for all to enjoy.

[Intro]

C C/B Am G

[Verse 1]

C C/B Am G
Sit right next to me, against the glass, where we both can see
C C/B Am G
Focus on the ground, disbelief of where we used to be

[Instrumental Break]

C C/B Am G

[Verse 2]

C C/B Am G
What should I do now? I'm upside-down, fighting with gravity
C C/B Am G
I'll just lock the door, and they won't know how to find me

[Pre-chorus]

F Fm C
I couldn't share it, you never saw it coming around
F Fm C
Even the bad parts move along better than they should

C7

F G C C/B Am
Now I'm waiting here to dis - a - ppear

Have you ever been so tired of yourself?

And I'll meet you here in the Tro - po - sphere
F Fm C
Lately I just haven't been myself

( short phrase of just C )

C C/B Am G
Back here on the ground, you're halfway gone and the traffic drowns you out
C C/B Am G
Driving past your school, I grew up here looking at you

[Pre-chorus]

F Fm C
I couldn't share it, you never saw it coming around
F Fm C
Even the bad parts move along better than they should

C7

[Chorus]

F G C C/B Am
Now I'm waiting here to dis - a - ppear
F Fm C C7
Have you ever been so tired of yourself?
F G C C/B Am
And I'll meet you here in the Tro - po - sphere
F Fm C
Lately I just haven't been myself

[Outro]

C7 Am Am Dm F

C C/B Am G

I'm having a hard time deciding what the last chord is.
So if anyone has a better ear than I, let me know what you believe it is.
