Skillet

Lucy

by Skillet
Skillet

Biography:

Skillet is an American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, consisting of all Christian members.

Skillet formed in 1996 with two members: John Cooper, former vocalist for Tennessee progressive rock band Seraph, and Ken Steorts, former guitarist for Urgent Cry. The two bands met through touring together, but those bands disbanded soon after, so John and Ken's pastor encouraged them to form their own band as a side-project. Coming from different styles of rock music, they decided to name the experiment Skillet.

alright juss to get things clear here's the first part when they pick the 1st verse and
repeat twice on each time you pick one chord, so like right here with 3-2-3-3 you would
that one more time then switch and do the same with that chord. to guide u here are the words
(hey lucy i remember your name, left a dozen roses on ur grave today)..

e--------3-----------3-----------------------------------------|
b---------3-----------3----------------------------------------|
g--------------------------------------------------------------| (x2)
d-----------------2--------------------------------------------|
a------2--------3----------------------------------------------|
E-----3--------------------------------------------------------|

im in the grass on my knees.. juss came to tlk for awhile..

|----0-----0------2------2--- ----0------2-------3----3-------------------|
|-----0-----0----3--3- -3--3- -----0----3-3-------3----3------------------|
|---------------2------2----- ---------2----------------------------------|
|--2------2------------------ ---2-------------2-----2--------------------|
|-2------2------------------- --2-------------3-----3---------------------|
|---------------------------- --------------------------------------------|

then juss do these both parts all over again for the chorus, it really helps if u
for the changes of chords while picking them. dont freak on the 2-3-2-3 part on this
part, juss play it slowly and listen to the song for changes..anyways here's the rest
(WITH CADD9 PUT PINKI ON E, SAME GOES FOR G)

G Cadd9
hey lucy i remember you birthday
G Cadd9
they said id bring some closure, to say your name
Em D

Em D C

G Cadd9
now that its over, i just wanna hold her
Em D Cadd9
id give up all the world to see, that little piece of heaven lookin back at me
Em D
now that its over, i just wanna hold her
Em D Cadd9
i gotta live with the choices i made, and i cant live with myself today
