Secondhand Serenade

Vulnerable

by Secondhand Serenade
Secondhand Serenade

Biography:

Secondhand Serenade is a one man band from Menlo Park, California. John Vesely, 30, sings and plays guitar and piano. His music is characterized by multitrack recording so he can create the sound of a band by himself. He uses multitrack recording to create vocal harmonies, and a lead acoustic guitar over strummed chords.

After the breakup of Sounds Like Life, featuring himself and Ronnie Day, Vesely started writing and performing his songs solo under the name Secondhand Serenade.

I’m not quite sure at the bridge part but I’m sure with the verses and chorus. See a tab
more guidance(but when you play the whole song with the ab lids its intermediate)… and
can use the Chord G(the open string one)as a replacement chord to the chord G7 I think
sounds better…

Intro: C-G7-F-Am7(2x)

Verse:
C Am7
Share with me the blankets that your wrapped in
C Am7 F
Because its cold outside (cold outside) its cold out side
C Am7
Share with me the secrets that you kept in
C Am7 F
Because its cold inside (cold inside) its cold inside

Refrain:
F (Pause)
And your slowly shaking finger tips
C(pause)
Show that your scared like me so
Am7 G7
Let pretend were alone
F
And I know you may be scared
C
And I know were unprepared
Am7
But I don't care

CHORUS:
C
Tell me tell me
C/B
What makes you think that you are invincible
Am7 F G7
I can see it in your eyes that your so sure
C C/B
Please don’t tell me that I am the only one that's vulnerable
Am7
Impossible

Verse 2 (do the same chord pattern on verse 1)

I was born to tell you I love you
Is it that a song already
I get a B in originality
And it’s true I can’t go on without you
Your smile makes me see clear
If you could only see in the mirror what I see

(Repeat Refrain)
(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
Am7 C F G7
Slow down girl your not going anywhere
Am7 C
Just wait around and see
F G7
Maybe I'm much more
Am7 C
You never know what lies ahead
F G7 Am7 C
I promise I can be anyone I can be anything
F G7
Just because you were hurt doesn't mean you shouldn't bleed
Am7 C F
I can be anyone anything I promise I can be what you need
G7
I can be what you need

(Repeat chorus)
