Who Knows What Tomorrow

by Traffic
Traffic

Biography:

The English rock band Traffic started out with Steve Winwood, Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood after Winwood left The Spencer Davis Group. From their beginning, in 1967, they were quite popular in their native England, though success elsewhere was slower in coming. Their first three albums combined psychedelic rock and soul with elements of British folk music, giving them a unique, groundbreaking sound. Their most popular single was Dear Mr. Fantasy, from the album of the same name.

"Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring"
(S. Winwood - J. Capaldi - C. Wood)

Verse:

B C (C#)
/ . / .

C#7
We are not like all the rest
F#7 B7 C7 (C#7)
You can see us any day of the week
C#7
Come around, sit down, take a sniff, fall asleep
F#7 B7 C7 (C#7)
Baby, you don't have to speak
C#7
I'd like to show you where it is
F#7 B7 C7 (C#7)
But then it wouldn't even mean a thing
C#7
Nothing is easy, baby, just please me
F#7 B7 Bb7 (A7)
Who knows what tomorrow may bring

Chorus:

A7
If for just one moment
F7
You could step outside your mind
Bb7
And float across the ceiling
F A Bb B [N.C.]
I don't think the folks would mind

[repeat verse]

[repeat chorus]

Coda:

(organ solo [4X]):

B7 C7 C#7 F#7
/ . / . / / / / / / / / / / / /

B7 C7 C#7 F#7
Who knows what tomorrow may bring [repeat to fade]
