John Taylor (*20 de junio de 1960), más conocido como el bajista de Duran Duran, es uno de los bajistas más destacados del Reino Unido.

Creció y se desarrolló en la ciudad de Birmingham. John era católico, y asistía a una escuela de la Iglesia Católica. Siempre fue fanatico de la banda de glam rock Roxy Music.
