Fraser A. Gorman

Book Of Love

by Fraser A. Gorman
Fraser A. Gorman

Biography:

Fraser A Gorman is an Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne.

With his violent shock of vertical curls, three-piece suit and excitable roguish charm, he cuts a striking figure and stands out amidst any scene or sound.

Gorman was born in Torquay, a suburban outpost of Geelong, the large coastal city an hour’s drive from his relocated Melbourne digs. The high-school year below his pal Stu Moore from King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Geelong is the sometime home to much of Australia’s motor industry

*E played after D in verses is barre high, so D is better played therefore as barre*
*probably best to do open chords for the chorus', makes for a fuller sound and more variation so as to
not get so stale while j-j-jammin'*

[Verse 1]
A E
I wanna go make a family with you, oh ho
A E
We'll send a boat down the river too, oh ho
D A
Candy's on my wall, she's looking at you
D E
Maybe if you ask her nice, she'll tell you exactly what to do
A E
We were hanging on High Street by Vietnamese
A
I went to ask her, I can cut my hair
E
But she walked on right past me
D A
I know you're moving to New York, but that's okay
D E
Maybe if I save enough painting, I can visit you one day, visit you one day

[Chorus 1]
A D
Won't you be my queen?
A D
I'll be your favorite dancing machine
A D E E6 E E6 E
Fit me like a glove, down in the book of love

E E6 E E6 E

[Verse 2]
A E
I see you brought your mother along, oh no
A E
I know she doesn't like rock and roll, but let's go
D A
So we were at your house, smoking by the pool
D E
And you lean over and ask me; "Can you show me something new, show me something new?"

[Chorus 2]
A D
Won't you be my queen?
A D
I'll be your favorite dancing machine
A D E E6 E E6 E
Fly on like a dove, down in the book of love

E E6 E E6 E

A D
I'm not trying to be mean
A D
I know this party just ain't your scene, but you
A D E E6 E E6 E
fit me like a glove, down in the book of love

E E6 E E6 E

A D
Shalom
A D
Shalom
A D E E6 E E6 E
Shalom

E E6 E E6 E
E E6 E E6 E
E E6 E E6 E

[Outro]
A E
I see you brought your mother along, oh no
A E
I know she doesn't like rock and roll, but let's go
