Dexters

Recover

by Dexters
Dexters

Biography:

Dexters are Tom Rowlett (vocals), Chris Heggie (guitars, BV’s), Ben Debo (lead guitar, BV’s), Chris Mardon (drums) and Jamie Harris (bass). The band formed in 2011 after growing up together on estates in the rougher part of East London. Their sound is inspired by where they grew up with narrative packed lyrics about how hard life can be with influences including the melodies of The La’s and The Strokes and the sheer punk, visceral aggression of The Clash and The Buzzcocks.

Great song from a great band, criminal that this hasn't been put on
ultimate guitar yet. Hopefully the tab is okay for you. JK x

Recover - Dexters

Key - F major (acoustic version on youtube is a step down)

Intro

The first part of the intro is just an F chord which then alternates from
an F and E bass.

e -1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-I
b -1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-I
g -2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-I
d -3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-I
a -3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-I
e -1-1-1-1-0-1-0-1-I

The second part to the intro uses these chords;

F C Bb F (can repeat the alternative bass note whilst playing this chord,
listen to the song for the rhythm)

This is the intro melody.

F C Bb F

e -------8-8-----------8-8-------------8-8---------8-------I
b -10-10-----10---10-10-----10---10-10-----10-8-10---10-10-I
g ---------------------------------------------------------I
d ---------------------------------------------------------I
a ---------------------------------------------------------I
e ---------------------------------------------------------I

This can be played by two guitars or you can barre the chords so you can play the melody as
well.
