Damh the Bard

Pagan Ways

by Damh the Bard
Damh the Bard

Biography:

Damh the Bard is a Druid whose spirituality is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry. Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are both entertaining and educational, weaving a tapestry of myth, peace, and Pagan anthems that speak directly to the heart, but never without a good splash of humour. Leaving academia to those better qualified, Damh works within that world of myth that cannot be proved; where the Faerie really do dance on Midsummer's Eve

(Verse)
(G)
Take a look at your TV screen
(D)
It's a window bright and clean
(Am)
another wife swapped
(C) (G)
What does it all mean?
(G)
elder brother your never wrong
(D)
show weak people acting strong
(Am)
so I look outside
(C) (G)
to see the green

(Chorus)

(D)
Do you dream of drinking from the grail
(Am)
that the truth is held within a tale
(F)
And Arthur sleeps now,
(C) (G)
Ready to return?
(D)
Do you know that Jack lives in the green
(Am)
that things are never as they seem
(F)
And Life is nore than
(C) (G)
the money that you earn

(verse)
(G)
Rhiannon rides her horse,
(D)
It's just a tale of course,
(Am)
An old story,
(C) (G)
Of times gone by.
(G)
But sit with me on this hill,
(D)
See how things become so still,
(Am)
And who is that Lady,
(C) (G)
Riding high?

(Chorus)

(D)
Do you dream of drinking from the grail
(Am)
that the truth is held within a tale
(F)
And Arthur sleeps now,
(C) (G)
Ready to return?
(D)
Do you know that Jack lives in the green
(Am)
that things are never as they seem
(F)
And Life is nore than
(C) (G)
the money that you earn

(Verse)
(G)
Spring has come and have you seen,
(D)
The Morris dancers on the green?
(Am)
Just a bit of fun,
(C) (G)
To pass the days.
(G)
But there is magic in their dance,
(D)
The season's blessed and not by chance,
(Am)
So I raise my glass,
(C) (G)
To our Pagan Ways.

(Chorus)

(D)
Do you dream of drinking from the grail
(Am)
that the truth is held within a tale
(F)
And Arthur sleeps now,
(C) (G)
Ready to return?
(D)
Do you know that Jack lives in the green
(Am)
that things are never as they seem
(F)
And Life is nore than
(C) (G)
the money that you earn

(Chorus)

(D)
Do you dream of drinking from the grail
(Am)
that the truth is held within a tale
(F)
And Arthur sleeps now,
(C) (G)
Ready to return?
(D)
Do you know that Jack lives in the green
(Am)
that things are never as they seem
(F)
And Life is nore than
(C) (G)
the money that you earn
