Biography:

Catatonia were an alternative rock band from Cardiff, Wales formed in 1992. They consisted of Cerys Matthews (vocals), Mark Roberts (guitar), Owen Powell (guitar), Paul Jones (bass) and Aled Richards (drums). They split in 2001.

Catatonia was formed in 1992, reputedly after songwriter Mark Roberts heard Cerys busking in Cardiff city centre. They had considerable success, their most famous hits being "Mulder and Scully", "Road Rage" and "Dead From The Waist Down".

I thought I'd submit this tab transposed as it's easier to play for beginners. A
capo can then be used if required to adjust the key if C is too low.

C G
It was strange glue that held us together
F Am G
While we both came apart at the seams
C
She said: Your place or mine
G
While we've still got the time
F Am G
So I played along with her schemes

D G
But I don't have the right to be with you tonight
E Am
So please leave me alone with no saviour in sight
D# G
I will sleep safe and sound with nobody around me

C G
When faced with my demons
F Am G
I clothe them and feed them
C G
And I'll smile, yes I'll smile
F Am G
As they're taking me over

Am F7
And if I cannot sleep for the secrets I keep
G F
It's the price I'm willing to meet
C G F
The end of the night never comes too quickly for me

C G F
The end of the night never comes too quickly for me

I'll smile, smile, I'll smile as they're taking me over
I'll smile, oh...
The end of the night never comes too quickly for me
Never comes too quickly for me
