Greg Holden

The Lost Boy

by Greg Holden
Greg Holden

Biography:

Being in the right place at the right time is possibly one of the most important things to remember in the world we live in today. Building your own success is essential but most people who succeed nowadays have at some point in their life experienced a certain element of luck to give them the kick start they need and deserve.

Greg Holden is no exception. Having only begun his solo journey in June 2007, he has had his fair share of luck to help him along the way.

The Lost Boy - Greg Holden

G
I left my home still as a child
G
I walked a thousand sorry miles
C/G G
To wait for my father to gather up his truth

G
He said my boy you've got to run
G
Don't wait for me don't wait for mum
C/G G
We'll come get you when it's safe for us to move

C/G
So I waited many years
Em
held back the pain behind my tears
C/G G
For my father to come find me like he said

C/G
And in that time I was alone
Em
so many years without my home
C/G G
I made brothers of a different kind instead

G C/G G

G
And in the time I didn't know
G
just how hard the wind could blow
C/G G
Towards disaster and the things that I would see

G
I never found my father
G
I never found my mother
C/G G
Even would I know in my lifetime I will be

C/G
A hero into the masses
Em
to those born without chances
C/G G
There's a freedom that everyone deserves

C/G
I know there's greed and there's corruption
Em
I've seen death and mass destruction
C/G G
But I'm telling you and I hope that I'm heard

G
And I will not be commanded
C/G
And I will not be controlled
Em C/G
And I will not let my future go on
G
without the help of my soul

G
And I will not be commanded
C/G
And I will not be controlled
Em C/G
And I will not let my future go on
G
without the help of my soul

G
And I will not be commanded
C/G
And I will not be controlled
Em C/G
And I will not let my future go on
G
without the help of my soul

G
I will not be commanded
C/G
I will not be controlled
Em C/G
And I will not let my future go on
G
without the help of my soul
