Biography:
Bird of Youth is an American rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York by Beth Wawerna. In addition to Wawerna (guitar, vocals), the band includes Clinton Newman (guitar), Johnny North (bass), Eli Thomas (keyboards), Ray Ketchem (drums) and Elizabeth Nelson Bracy (accordion). Their debut album "Defender" was released in 2011.
Defender recalls classic and college rock, as well as the swagger of old New York girl groups and the insight and sarcasm the early new wave songwriters.
