INTRO: G

VERSE:
G
Here it is, it's summertime
Em
Still I haven't felt my sign
F C
And the years are over too
G
since I'm gone

G
And my daddy wonders why
Em
How I look and make him proud
F C
But I'll carry on his name
G F
when he dies

CHORUS:
Em Bm
Though the years have had their pain
Am G
I'll continue on again
F C G
'Til I find a road that I can travel
Bm Am G C G
'Til I Find my peace, of mind

VERSE:
G
Papa says to straighten out
Em
Look at what my life's about
F C
Try to use the head that God
G
once gave you

G
And he says I'll be content
Em
If I take the road he went
F C
But I'll never blame him for
G F
what I do

CHORUS:
Em Bm
Livin' in a house that's high
Am G
It makes you feel your hands are tied
F C
I only wish I knew when I
G Bm
could make and break it
Am G C G
Finally get inside

BREAK:
C
Mr. Tunny's seconal
D
Surely you will make me fall
Am B Bm E E E E E E
But you drive me into takin' your hand

VERSE:
G
On the road that I've been bound
Em
It seems it's time I settled down
F C G
I gotta stop relying on tomorrow

G
And all I wanna do is sleep
Em
Every day is like a week
F C
I gotta find some kind of rules
G F
to follow

VERSE/OUTRO:
G
And my daddy wonders why
Em
How I look and make him cry
F C
But I'll carry on his name
G G G F C
when he dies
