[Intro]
C F Am G

[Verse]
C F
Baby i’m broken, yeah i’ve been kicked around.
Am G
A target wide open, I keep climbing up and keep falling down.
C F
I’m still hoping, but lately that’s a dangerous thing.
Am G
I keep trying to make the pieces fit, but they won’t.

[Chorus]
C F
I’m not easy, I can be stubborn as an oak.
Am G F
I’m not quite who you think I am, but I’m getting there slowly.
C F
Must be a reason, no I can’t explain it all
Am G F
But I’m learning just who I am and there’s victory in that.
G F
And I’m still carving my own path.
G F G
I’m still carving my own path.

[Verse]
C F
I wasn’t born into riches, I ain’t got no rockefeller blood.
Am G F
I never got a seat on top of that golden setting sun.
C F
I’ve mastered in perfection, yeah I’m no work of art.
Am G
But these colors don’t come painless, these colors are my heart.

[Chorus]

[Verse]
C F
Baby when I’m broken, it’s your footprints in the sand.
Am G
That let me know the way back home to who I am.

[Chorus]
C F
I’m not easy, I can be stubborn as an oak.
Am G F
I’m not quite who you think I am, but I’m getting there slowly.
C F
Must be a reason, no I can’t explain it all
Am G F
But I’m learning just who I am and there’s victory in that.
Am G F
I’m learning just who I am and there’s victory in that.
G F G F
And I’m still carving my own path, carving my own path.
G C
Yeah, I’m still carving...
