Biography:
78Violet (also known as Aly & AJ) are a pop/rock duo consisting of sisters Aly Michalka and AJ Michalka. They were born in Torrance, California, but spent part of their childhood in Seattle, Washington. They are both actresses, singer-songwriters, guitarists and pianists. The two released their first new song in five years, Hothouse, on July 8th, 2013, along with a music video that they self-produced through their production company Violet House Records. On December 9, 2015, they announced they are again going by Aly & AJ.
