Intro:
A Em A Em A Em G D D
Em...

Em C G D
Oh hello, how are you, my favorite son?
Em C G D
In an hour I will go where I've never gone
Em C G D
In the span of the space between your mother's eyes
Em C
are the secrets that I've saved
G D
I hand them down to you

A Em A Em
oooooh. The averages and laws,
A Em G D
it was every man for himself every child alone

Em C G D
Oh why do they shine so bright in my dreams?
Em C G D
Golden blades, forged from love, they sever my feet
Em C G D
but you know, where I'm going, when all is said and done
Em C
I don't need them or my secrets
G D
Just the grace of one

C
here they come
C
here they come
C
here they come...
G D
oh hear they come!
C G D
is everything signed? Is everything done?
A Em
I'm sorry about the blood
A Em
...the devil and his stones
A Em G D D
It was every man for himself, every child alone

Em C G D
Please tell your mother I'm sorry for the strife
Em C
tell your brother I loved him
G D
...the same to his wife
Em C G D
and if you have a heart to take my life away
Em C G D D
give me something, give me anger to remember you today

C
'Cause here they come
G D
oh here they come
C G D
Is everything signed? Can nothing be undone?
A
I'm sorry about the blood
C C*
...the devil and his stones
G D C
It was every man for himself, every child alone...

C* - Sounds like its a C chord with the d string open. (lift your middle
finger off) it sounds fine either way, but i think its slightly more
accurate to the song this way.
