Kathleen Edwards - Somewhere Else

INTRO: C

F
I used to look for you out in the daylight
C F
I took highways and side streets and back lanes, slept under open skies
Am C F C F
Life could be cruel, life could be sweet if I want it to be

C F
This town that I once called home, I just can't hold onto
C F
It's got strip malls and bus stops and people I never really talk to
Am C F C
She said life could be sweet, but life is so cruel 'cause you let it be

CHORUS:
F C
Everybody out here, they wanna live somewhere else
F C
I wish I could find a place and stay there by myself
F C Dm F
Bit by bit I swear I think I'm losing all this city's confidence

INSTRUMENTAL: C Dm F C Dm F C

CHORUS:
F C
Everybody out here, they wanna live somewhere else
F C
I wish I could find a place and stay there by myself
F C Dm F
Bit by bit I swear I think I'm losing all this city's confidence
C Dm F C
I swear I've lost all this city's confidence
