Please let me know what you think -- I'm not too sure about the chorus, but it's coming right from ear.

Oh, Brother!
Joan Baez
1977 (?)

D
You've got eyes like Jesus
G
But you speak with a viper's tongue
D
We were just sitting around on earth
G
Where the hell did you come from?
D
With your lady dressed in deerskin
G
And an amazing way about her
D
When are you going to realize
Em
That you just can't live without her?

D Dsus4 D
Take it easy
G
Take it light
Bm
But take it....

D
Your lady gets her powers
G
From the goddess and the stars
D
You get yours from the trees and the brooks
G
And a little from life on Mars
D
And I've known you for a good long while
G
And would you kindly tell me, mister
D
How in the name of the Father and the Son
Em
Did I come to be your sister?

D Dsus4 D
Take it easy
G
Take it light
Bm
But take it....

D
You've done dirt to lifelong friends
G
With little or no excuses
D
Who endowed you with the crown
G
To hand out these abuses?
D
Your lady knows about these things
G
But they don't put her under
D
Me, I know about them, too
Em
And I react like thunder

D Dsus4 D
Take it easy
G
Take it light
Bm
But take it....

D
I know you are surrounded
G
By parasites and sycophants
D
When I come to see you
G
I dose up on coagulants
D
Because when you hurl that bowie knife
G
It's going to be when my back is turned
D
Doing some little deed for you
Em
And baby, will I get burned

D Dsus4 D
Take it easy
G
Take it light
Bm
But take it....

D
So little brother when you come
G (/f# Em) D
To knock on my door
D
I don't want to bring you down
G
But I just went through the floor
D
My love for you extends through life
G
And I don't want to waste it
D
But honey, what you've been dishing out
G
You'd never want to taste it
D
And if I had the nerve
G
To either risk it or to break it
D
I'd put our friendship on the line
Em
And show you how to take it

D Dsus4 D
...Easy
G
...Light
Bm
But to take it
