VERSE 1:

D
Get out of the car

And walk a straight line

G
You've been swerving left and right

D G
Please sir won't you stare into the light

D
Follow my finger back and forth

G
Say the alphabet in reverse

D G
Call someone to come pick up your car

CHORUS:

D G
This is how I cope with losing you

D
You pull me down

G
And I don't know how

D
To get back up

I've been stuck in this rut

G
But I don't know how long now

D
And it's hard to sleep

G
Cause I think too much of the time

D
Can't keep you off my mind

G
So I'll be in jail tonight

D G
I'm sitting in the backseat of a cop car

Bm
Here's your one last phone call

G
I should've called my mom

D
But instead I called you

VERSE 2:

D
Remember the dance in our high school gym

G
We stayed out till 3 A.M.

D G
And we swore we never change when we graduated

D
We had high hopes for USC

G
They accepted you and didn't me

D
And I'm working out at home

G
At a place you used to go

D
Everything here reminds me of you

G
My car still smells like your perfume

D
You used to wear it out on dates

G
And it'd drive me insane

CHORUS:

D G
This is how I cope with losing you

D
You pull me down

G
And I don't know how

D
To get back up

I've been stuck in this rut

G
But I don't know how long now

D
And it's hard to sleep

G
Cause I think too much of the time

D
Can't keep you off my mind

G
So I'll be in jail tonight

D G
I'm sitting in the backseat of a cop car

Bm
Here's your one last phone call

G
I should've called my mom

But instead I called

BRIDGE:

Bm
I sit curb side

G
And watch the world go by

D A
Blue and red lights burn my eyes

Bm
I sit curb side

G
And watch the world go by

D A
Blue and red lights burn my eyes

D G
I'm sitting in the backseat of a cop car

Bm
Here's your one last phone call

G
I should've called my mom

D
But instead I called you

VERSE 3:

D
The last six hours have been a blur

G
They let me out and there you were

D
I thought I wasted my last call

G
But you bailed me out after all
