*from 'Eliza Doolittle' (2010)*

Intro:

B C#m, B

Verse 1:

B
I get tired, and upset,
C#m
And I'm trying to care a little less.
When I Google I only get depressed.
G#m7 F#7*
I was taught to dodge those issues, I was told;

B
Don't worry; there's no doubt,
C#m
There's always something to cry about.
When you're stuck in an angry crowd,
E7 Bdim
They don't think what they say before they open their mouths.

Chorus 1:

B
Pack up your troubles and your old kit bag,
C#m
And bury them beneath the sea.
I don't care what the people may say,
F#7 B
What the people may say about me.

B
Pack up your troubles get your old grin back;
C#m
Don't worry about the cavalry.
I don't care what the whisperers say,
F#7 B
'Cos they whisper too loud for me.

Verse 2:

B C#m
Hot topic; maybe I should drop it? It's a touchy subject,
G#m7 F#7*
And I like to tiptoe 'round the tiff goin' down.

B
You got penny, but no pound,
C#m
So if your business is running out,
It's not my business to talk about.
E7 Bdim
They don't think what to say, before they open their mouths.

Chorus 2:

B
You gotta pack up your troubles and your old kit bag,
C#m
And bury them beneath the sea.
I don't care what the people may say,
F#7 B
What the people may say about me.

B
Pack up your troubles get your old grin back;
C#m
Don't worry about the cavalry.
I don't care what the whisperers say,
F#7 B
'Cos they whisper too loud for me.

Break:

B C#m
Tweet tweet, tweet tweet, tweet tweet tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
B
Tweet tweet, tweet tweet, tweet tweet, tweet, tweet.

Chorus 3:

B
Pack up your troubles and your old kit bag,
C#m
And bury them beneath the sea.
I don't care what the people may say,
F#7 B
What the people may say about me.

B
Pack up your troubles get your old grin back;
C#m
Don't worry about the cavalry.
I don't care what the whisperers say,
F#7 B
'Cos they whisper too loud for me.
