CAPO: 2nd Fret

[Verse 1]
C F C F C
I'm a troubled young man, my friend, as you ever did see
F C G
For I married a damsel, her age, it was scarce twenty-three
C F C F
I'm sorry to tell you, I married this false minded one

For she's left me alone and gone off with another young man

[Verse 2]
F C F C
Now the day we were wed she said, "I went on a spree"
F C G
The neighbour next door, she swore, was better than me
C F C F
They go out every night and stay dancing the morning away
C F G F C
And the pair leave me there to fair the best that I may

[Verse 3]
F C F C
Well, three weeks we were wed when this lassie, I took her to town
F C G
Expenses I paid on the way, I gave her a crown
C F C F
I met an old friend and he pulled me in for the drain
C F G F C
And while we were there she prepared, ran off on the train

[Instrumental]
C F C G C F C G
C F C F G F C

[Verse 4]
F C F C
When I found she was gone, like a madman, I rushed through the square
F C G
I'll find out a hole and trying to tear out my hair
C F C F
A neighbour named Ned, he stuck out his hand for the gore
C F G F C
"Has you wife gone away, will she never come back anymore?"

[Verse 5]
F C F C
Buys an acre of land, I might, if I'd a pig and a cow
F C G
A duck and a drake, with no one to take care of us now
C F C F
I selled them all off, I declare, for I'm tired for my life
C F G F C
Let the ladies to dance so long, and look for your wife, (yelp)

[Outro]
