C, Em7, F, G, C

C Em7
I've got my eye on top shelf liquor
Am
With taste so smooth it
F
Hits you quicker
G C
But you've only got the well

C Em7
And I've got an eye for top tier women
Am F
With legs so long they go straight to heaven
G C
But this old bunch looks like hell

Am F C G
But tonight I'll take what I can get

C Em7
I'd like to hear a great musician
Am F
With strange ideas and grand ambition
G C
But this guy he's got trouble with chords

C Em7
And I'd like to leave this game a winner
Am F
Head held high the luck of beginners
G C
But this old losers crawling out on all fours

Am F C G
But tonight I'll take what I can get
Am
Well this drink will do
F
And girl you look all right
C G
And this band is playing like hell tonight

Am
These dice are loaded
F
And lord I am too
C G
I might be losing but I'm leaving soon

Am
With the prettiest girl
F
To enter this dump
C G
She drank all of the whiskey but she left me the rum
Am F C G
And tonight I'll take what I can get

Am F C G
Tonight I'll take what I can get

C Em7
I've got my sights on brand new beginnings
Am F
Brand new starts make saints of sinners
G C
But I'm doomed to live in my past

C Em7
Live nude girls says the sign out front
Am F
But old dead dreams are dancing in front
G C
Of old dead dreamers with washed up luck
Buying love for cash

Am F C G
Well tonight I'll take what I can get

C Em7
This old story gets stale and dry
Am F
No matter how I try and try
G C
To spin this fable Fresh and new

C
You strung me along
Em7
Like a tease on prom night
Am F
Getting me loose but Leaving me uptight
G C
Please tell me that Some of that love was true

Am F C G
Tonight I'll take what I can get

Am
Well this drink will do
F
And girl you look all right
C G
And this band is playing like hell tonight

Am
These dice are loaded
F
And lord I am too
C G
I might be losing but I'm scoring soon

Am
With the prettiest girl
F
To enter this dump
C G
She drank all of the whiskey but she left me the rum

Am F C G
And tonight I'll take what I can get
