Brothers Osborne

Pushing Up Daisies Love Alive

by Brothers Osborne
Brothers Osborne

Biography:

Years before they climbed the country charts with songs like “Stay a Little Longer” and “Rum,” the Brothers Osborne grew up in Deale, Maryland, a small fishing town on the Atlantic seaboard. It was a cozy place, filled with blue-collar workers who made their living on the water. During the weekends, many of those workers would head over to the Osborne household, where a series of loose, all-night jam sessions filled the Maryland air with the sounds of Bob Seger, Hank Williams, Tom Petty and George Jones.

[Intro] x4
E A

[Verse 1]
E A E A
I'd promise you forever if I could
E A E A
If I could slow down the hands of time I would
E A E A
I know they say all good things must end
E
If I could do it all over I would do it all over

Over and over again

[Chorus]
A E
We'll go on till were pushing up daisies
A E
We'll grow old and wild and I'll still be calling you baby
C#m
We'll never get enough
A
We'll be living it up right down to the day we die
E D
Naw, we ain't getting out of this love alive

[Interlude] x4
E A

[Verse 2]
E A E A
Till I held you close I never felt the feeling
E A E A
And now I'll feel that way till the last sunset goes down
E A E A
You turned a stubborn southern boy into a believer
E A E
Believe me when I say it's gonna stay that way till they lay me in the ground

[Chorus]
A E
We'll go on till were pushing up daisies
A E
We'll grow old and wild and I'll still be calling you baby
C#m
We'll never get enough
A
We'll be living it up right down to the day we die
E D
Naw, we ain't getting out of this love alive
A E
We'll go on till were pushing up daisies
A E
We'll be old and wild and I'll still be calling you baby
C#m
We'll never get enough
A
We'll be living it up right down to the day we die
E D
Naw, we ain't getting out of this love alive

(No guitar)
When our last breath is gone
And they carve our name in stone
Oh, we ain't gettin' out of this love alive
