Bronze Radio Return

World Spin Home Spun

by Bronze Radio Return
Bronze Radio Return

Biography:

Bronze Radio Return is an American indie/roots rock quintet from Hartford, Connecticut. The band was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Henderson after he attended the Hartt School of Music. Fellow Hartt School Alumni Rob Griffith (drums), Bob Tanen (bass) and Matt Warner (organ/keyboards/samples) help complete the line-up with Patrick (Packy) Fetkowitz (Lead Guitar). The name Bronze Radio Return was inspired by an old radio Henderson grew up listening to in his father's art studio in Maine.

D A G A
Drive all night and you're almost home. You sing along a song on the radio.

D A G A
Your dashboard lights and your engine moans. The last time you left was long ago.

D G D A G
And when you ride, the half folks and empty eyes, and everyone starts asking where you've been.

A F# Bm G D
Just then you realize that while you were out chasing pines, everybody else got settled in.

G D A
You are older, you are now, once a young gun.

G D A
Now the door is locked so the lights all leave your face numb.

G D A
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.

G D
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.

D A G A
And off you go and on you ride. You never felt so lost and left behind.

D A G A
Your headlights glow on your heavy mind, shining on the road and now you're blind.

G A
You can hope the stretch ahead is silver lined.

D G D G
And when you return, back to town, the place you yearn is the only one who knows where you've been.

A F# Bm G D
It'll be no surprise, while everyone has lived their lives, the memories you left them were thin.

G D A
You are older, you are now, once a young gun.

G D A
Now the door is locked so the lights all leave your face numb.

G D A
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.

G D
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.

F# G G# A A# B G D
Now when you leave here, you look twice at your loved ones, make sure to soak it in.

F# G G# A A# B
Now when you leave here, you look twice at your loved ones.

A G# G D
You don't know how they'll grow, they just know you're leaving.

G D A
You are older, you are now, once a young gun.

G D A
Now the door is locked so the lights all leave your face numb.

G D A
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.

G D
You saw the world spin, while your home spun.
