Bronze Radio Return

Nowhere To Be

by Bronze Radio Return
Bronze Radio Return

Biography:

Bronze Radio Return is an American indie/roots rock quintet from Hartford, Connecticut. The band was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Henderson after he attended the Hartt School of Music. Fellow Hartt School Alumni Rob Griffith (drums), Bob Tanen (bass) and Matt Warner (organ/keyboards/samples) help complete the line-up with Patrick (Packy) Fetkowitz (Lead Guitar). The name Bronze Radio Return was inspired by an old radio Henderson grew up listening to in his father's art studio in Maine.

Hello all, here is a nice little tune from the new album. I'm so happy I stumbled on this band two weeks ago.
I'll be tabbing more of their songs soon.

This is a capo-free version. In the song they use a capo on the 5th fret, I think.

[Intro]

F C
C F

[Verse 1]

Bb C
My job is done for now at least
Am7 Bb
My calendar is filled with vacancies
Bb C
In the days ahead I'm looking to
Am7 Bb
I've done all that's been asked of me to do
Bb F
So honey, now I'm through
C F
Trying to impress
Bb F
Now I'm taking off and cutting loose

[Chorus]
F
There's a clock and I'm off it
C C7(optional) F
And it feels so delightful to have nowhere to be
F
'Cause I got a pocket
C
With a little cash
C7 (Optional)
Car with a tank of gas
F
And nowhere to be

[Verse 2]
Bb C
With time to kill and days to seize
Am Bb
I could end up anywhere I please
Bb C
The exciting places that I could roam through
Am Bb
Or I could melt into my couch at home, too
Bb F C F
Either way I'll use the time to decompress
Bb F
Before I'm back again I'm cutting loose

[Chorus]

F
There's a clock and I'm off it
C C7 F
And it feels so delightful to have nowhere to be
F
'Cause I got a pocket
C
With a little cash
C
Car with a tank of gas
F
And nowhere to be

[Bridge]

Bb F Bb F Bb F C
Sometimes my favorite plan is to have no plans at all
Bb F Bb F Bb F
To unwind with no demand before---- hand
Bb F C
It always won't be, set or permanent
Bb F
I'll be back to work eventually
Bb F
Soon I'll be in use
C F
But that's irrelevant
Bb F
'Cause until then I'll be cutting loose

[Chorus]
F
There's a clock and I'm off it
C C F
And it feels so delightful to have nowhere to be
F
'Cause I got a pocket
C
With a little cash
C
Car with a tank of gas
F
And nowhere to be

Hope you enjoyed this. This is how I sing it. If you can think of any modifications, please let me know in
the comments. Cheers.
