Em A

Em A
So tell me where it hurts
Em A
Did those stunts prove anything,
Em A
And darling aren't you leaving
Em A
Anyone a souvenir?
Em A
Drawing weapons from a book
Em A
But you're the one you're hurting
Dm A
No no, simple distractions
Dm A Dm
Polishing all these severed heads
A
Oblivion is nice,
C Em A
Till it bites you in the ass

Em A
And you roam
Em A
Without a single clue
Em A
The riddle I've been aiming
Em A
every poison arrow at
Em A Em
Twilight hours on the hook,
A
With no money burning
Dm A
No no, I oughta desert you,
Dm A Dm
Quietly slide out your back door
A
The vertigo is nice,
C Em A
But it makes it hard to dance

C D A
Yes you want to win the prize
C D A
Hoping the odds will change this time
C D F Em A
Losing it all again ain't right

Em A Em A
"Woah wait," she said then I recoiled
Em A
I got tricked and I deserved it
Em A
Don't look back from anything but
Em A
The question is simple
Em A
Why not be smiling?
Dm A
No no, what did it hurt
Dm A Dm
Leaving it all to happenstance
A
Want an easy life,
C Em A
But you can't get settled down

[Em A instrumental]

A Dm A
what did it hurt
Dm A Dm
Leaving it all to happenstance
A
Want an easy life,
C Em A
But you just can't settle down
C Em A
But you just can't settle down
