[Intro]

G

[Verse 1]
G
I was driving down PCH
C G
Top down on my jeep just cranking some Hank
C G
A California boy with country in my mind

A pretty girl sitting next to me

With beach blond hair in the passenger seat
C G C G
Rocking Daisy Dukes with a bathing suit underneath

[Pre-Chorus]
Am
She's west coast head to toe
D G
But there ain't a Reba song that she don't know

[Chorus]
G Em
There's country in California
G C D
We drink whiskey, just like they do in Tennessee
G Em Am
We have backroads, past where the grass grows
C
In the hills of Malibu, it's the sky's that blue
D G
With a clear view of the sea
Am D G D
Yeah, there's country, in my California dream.

[Verse 2]
G
I remember way back before it was cool
C G
Singing Tim McGraw on my way to school
C G
MaryAnn McCoy was my "don't take the girl"

Nowadays the highway is more than a road

It's taking over Country radio
C G
Moving the Mason-Dixie line all the way to the edge of the world

[Pre-Chorus]
Am
Her eyes were blue and her hair was long, yeah
D G
She's every woman, she's a country song

[Chorus]
G Em
There's country in California
G C D
We drink whiskey, just like they do in Tennessee
G D G Em Am
We got backroads, past where the grass grows
D C
In the hills of Malibu, it's the sky's that blue
D G
With a clear view of the sea
Am D G Am
Yeah, there's country, in my California dream.

[Bridge]

Sweet home California
D G C
Sweet home California
D G C D
Sweet home California

[Chorus]

We drink whiskey, same like they do in Tennessee

We got backroads, past where the green grass grows

In the hills of Malibu, it's the sky's that blue

I was driving down PCH

Top down on my jeep just cranking some Hank
