"as if" in the key of G.

[Intro]
G Em G C (x2)

[Verse 1]
Em
The rain is on his head
D
And my love is out on the ledge
C G D
Get to the bonfire and get undressed
Em
My boots are caked with clay
D
These clothes are loose

And my appetite's gone
C G
We'll throw them in the bonfire where we belong

[Chorus]
C Em
All of us shaking
G
Wounded and naked
C
Like a sunburned kiss
Em
We are changing
G
Fighting for the same thing
C
With the light that lifts
D G
And I wanna know you for the way you are
C
Not the way I am
D
So let's go now
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began

[Verse 2]
Em
I slope back into my tinted shade
D
To shake out the vertigo
C G
You know, the only one who got any sleep last night was
D
A grumpy volcano
Em
Up before the drunks come home
D
With sleep still in our eyes
C G D
To see another bonfire bleed in the sky

[Chorus]
C Em
All of us shaking
G
Wounded and naked
C
Like a sunburned kiss
Em
We are changing
G
Fighting for the same thing
C
With the light that lifts
D G
And I wanna know you for the way you are
C
Not the way I am
D
So let's go now
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began

[Bridge]
C D
I remember you were there,
Em
Holding up the universe
C D
I watched the wind playing with your hair
Em
And that love had run it's course
D G
Why's there only one word for love
Em
And all it's beautiful curses?

[Chorus]
C Em
All of us shaking
G
Wounded and naked
C
Like a sunburned kiss
Em
We are changing
G
Fighting for the same thing
C
With the light that lifts
D G
And I wanna know you for the way you are
C
Not the way I am
D
So let's go now
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began

[Outro]
C G D
Back to the bonfire where we began
