Brainpool

Biography:

Brainpool is a pop music group from Lund, Sweden. They were most popular in the mid-1990s when they released three infectuous power-pop albums ("Soda" 1994, "Painkiller" 1995 and "Stay Free" 1996). During this period they sold over 100 000 albums in Sweden and enjoyed massive critical acclaim. In 1997 their lead singer, Janne Kask, left the group. The remaining three members continued as a trio and released "You Are Here" in 1999, a radical musical departure from the style of their previous albums.

[Verse]

Your friends at work all envy you
because you've seen the world
you've got some news from Athens
and you claim you've kissed a french girl
you tell them that you're half a man
without all new impressions
you need your kicks like they need air

[Chorus]

C#m F#
With pockets full of cash and friends
B E
with names like Jack and Nash
C#m F#
you book the cheapest trip you can
B (E - F#)
and then you're off to wonderland
C#m F#
and you get stoned when you arrive
B E
and Jackie doubts that you're alive
C#m F#
he digs a grave with his own hands
B E F# Ebm G#
a dutch policeman stops his plans
