La banda nace a finales del año 2001 en la ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, cuando Alex y Ross deciden formar una banda con la firme intención de mantener viva La Bestia del Metal.... La banda toma la decisión de autonombrarse BLACKSMITH, por su significado en español de “Herrero o forjador de metal”,
Blacksmith es una banda de Heavy Metal, con influencias que van desde el Hard Rock de “Cream” pasando por “Black Sabbath”, “Led Zeppelin” hasta la ola Inglesa metálica como “Iron Maiden”
